Dermal Fillers Newport Beach
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are gel-like products that can be injected to diminish facial lines and combat volume loss. At Panacea Aesthetics and Wellness Center in Newport Beach, we use products that are made of hyaluronic acid or calcium hydroxyapatite (HA) to treat volume loss and enhance hollow areas. HA help to restore a smoother skin. A loss in collagen and fat happens as we age which can cause facial muscles to reach the skin surface and reveal the facial lines. Furthermore, hyaluronic acid gives volume to the skin. If they are lost, dermal fillers restore them to give you a natural and younger appearance.
With different formulas, such as Juvederm, Radiesse and Belotero, we can target specific areas like cheek bones, lips, crow’s feet and nasolabial, as well as smile and forehead lines, to help restore a youthful appearance.
Dermal Fillers vs Botox?
Dermal Fillers are often used in conjunction with Botox. These injectables are very different; fillers are used to add volume and contour the face, while Botox is used to relax specific muscles and thereby softening lines and wrinkles.
Types of Dermal Fillers?
There are a few types of FDA-approved Dermal Fillers available in the U.S. They are typically classified by the substance they are made of. These substances include Hyaluronic Acid (HA), Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA), Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA), and Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA).
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers are by far the most common Dermal Fillers used in the U.S. Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring substance that is already available in our skin, it acts by attracting water to our skin to keep it plump and hydrated. It works in the same manner when injected. HA Fillers include Juvederm products and Restylane products.
Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) is also a naturally occurring substance found in our bodies. The consistency of these fillers is thicker than HA and typically last longer. CaHA also works by stimulating natural collagen production. The only FDA-approved CaHA filler available in the U.S. is Radiesse.
Dermal Fillers vary in thickness, how long they last, and how much volume they can add when injected into a specific area.

Cost of Dermal Fillers?
Dermal Fillers are a great and affordable option for facial rejuvenation. The cost varies based on the type of filler used. In general, the cost varies from $450-$850 per syringe used. When looking for a new provider to get injected it is most important to choose a qualified experienced injector with an aesthetic eye. Make sure to view their work and decide based on their outcomes. DO NOT SHOP for the best deal when it comes to your face; more often than none, people who choose their filler provider based on price end up paying more to correct their results.
